Download PostgreSQL 9.2

Version 9.2 of PostgreSQL has been released. This popular ‘open source relational database management system’ runs on a large number of operating systems and can therefore be used in various environments. It is a derivative of Ingres, after its lead developer started his own business and that open source database became closed source. Version 9.2 includes built-in support for JavaScript Object Notation and performance improvements, and can be scaled up to as many as 64 cores. • Allow queries to retrieve data only from indexes, avoiding heap access (index-only scans)
