Download Pinnacle Studio 8.8.4 beta patch

Pinnacle Systems has released the 8.8.4 beta patch for its Pinnacle Studio 8, a video editing program, which again contains a number of improvements. The release notes tell us the following:

Studio 8.8.4 includes the following improvements over Studio 8.7.23

• Audio drops out after dissolve transitions
• DVD+RW burnprocess does not eject the CD
• Cannot go to scenes (other than the first) of VCD from menu using keypad
• Exported clip to Pinnacle AV/DV is out of sync (A/V) and drops video frames

Outstanding issues with Studio 8.8.4 BETA

• DVD projects with return to menu within a transition, hang during render
• Studio becomes non responsive while editing mpeg after about fourty five minutes
• The automatic scene detection is off by one frame
• Save project takes a long time after make tape
• Custom text outline menu highlights do not appear on burned DVD
• Editing of menu does not update to all menu pages
• Re-compile should not occur on consecutive burn direct to disc
