Download Pinnacle Studio 8.5.8 beta

Pinnacle Systems has on the site released a new beta version of Studio, and they show this very clearly. This update can be used under Windows 98/Me/2k/XP and has the following changes:

Known Issues
* Problems in Storyboard mode with gray picons, and with background render. If you encounter some crashes, you should try to disable the Background Rendering.

Setup
* Instant Message box pops up again and again
* Studio freezes the first time it launches

* Capture Format settings: data rate for DC-10 good/better/best is wrong, and so are descriptions

* Studio 8.5.5/6 crash when trimming a mpeg1/2 clip in timeline
* Find Scene in Album doesn’t change album and redraw picons
* Studio freezes the first time it launches
* Copy & Paste in timeline doesn’t draw thumbnail
* Copying & paste of graphics and menus causes loss of picture
* Mp3 inserting does not alsways work correctly
* Still on overlay track does not display
* DVD Projects with links to large video & many menus slows performance drastically
* Menu file deleted after drag and drop replacement of menus over motion background

* Hang while rendering WMF file
* Hang on rendering on a transition with PIM1 source
* Transitions are not rendered in some cases
* Studio Crashes when MPEG encoding is performed with DVD-RAM present.
* Rotated text fields are rendered to wrong position
* Rendering from PCM (wav) format to MPEG audio does not happen.
