Google has released an update for Picasa 3.8. Picasa, which is available for Windows and Mac OS X, makes it easy to manage, edit and put photos online. The program offers options for straightening the horizon, adjusting the contrast and making a crop, among other things. There is also face recognition, which makes it possible, for example, to quickly show all photos that contain a specific person.

New in version 3.8 is, among other things, the possibility to movie of a particular person’s face. Furthermore, photos can now be edited online with Picnik and an assignment can be created that allows several photos to be uploaded, edited or deleted at once. Picasa 3.8 is currently only available in English, but the translations should be released shortly. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release, which is numbered 3.8 build 115.66 for Windows and 3.8.2.274 for Mac OS X:
