Download phpMyAdmin 2.9.2-rc1

The developers of phpMyAdmin have released the first release candidate of version 2.9.2. This program consists of a collection of PHP scripts that can be used to maintain and manage a MySQL database or server through a web interface. For example, it is possible to create, modify and delete databases and tables. The developers have fixed a number of issues and described them in the list of changes as follows:

Version 2.9.2-rc1:

Version 2.9.2-rc1 contains some security fixes (an advisory will be published when releasing 2.9.2) and other fixes:

• improved support for web clusters
• deleting a user under MySQL 4.1.x
• DELIMITER in export no longer commented out
• export of query results and procedure definitions
• detection of a binary column
• problem on 64-bit systems
• granting all privileges on a wildcard name
• verification on encrypted zip files

Version 2.9.1.1:

This version contains the following security fixes:

• PMASA-2006-7 – XSS vulnerabilities
• PMASA-2006-8 – Path disclosure vulnerabilities
• PMASA-2006-9 – Bad IP Allow/Deny checking
