phpBB is a free to use forum made available under the GPL license. The forum software is one of the most widely used open source forums and uses PHP and a database program to store, save and retrieve messages. Besides MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Microsoft Access are also supported as database software. On the site of phpBB Tomsworld has a new version of the forum software spotted. The software has arrived at version numbering 2.0.21 and can be used from this page be downloaded in different versions. The new release has been dubbed ‘Bertie’s Summer Vacation’ and fixes a number of bugs and security vulnerabilities.
