Download PeaZip 4.7.3

An update for version 4.7 of PeaZip has been released. This archiving program is made available under an open source license and downloads are available for Windows and Linux. The program aims to distinguish itself from the competition by specializing in safety. Encrypting data is therefore one of the main functions of the proprietary system pea format. PeaZip can create 7z, bz2, gz, paq/lpaq, pea, quad, tar, upx and zip files, and extract various file formats including ace, arj, cab, deb, iso, lha , rar and rpm. The changelog of this release shows the following changes and improvements:

• Before creation of archives it is displayed a quick approximate calculation of potential compression, and the strength of password is displayed as color band on the bottom of the password form.
• Main extraction parameters (as extract in new folder and naming policy to skip/overwrite existing files) are displayed in extraction form title and during drag and drop operation from archives.
• On Windows deleted files are moved to Recycle Bin by default alongside existing quick and secure deletion functions, and semaphore is used to efficiently queue multiple instances.
• A total of 171 file extensions are supported, now including Open Packaging Conventions file formats (Windows 8 Apps .appx, AutoCAD .dwfx, .xps, etc).
• Translations are available in 29 languages, but any help is welcome to translate PeaZip to new languages ​​and maintain current ones, so please give a look to translations page.
