Download Patch My PC 3.2.0.0

Version 3.2.0.0 of Patch My PC has been released. This program can check whether the latest versions of a large number of programs – including Mozilla Firefox, Java, iTunes, Skype and Adobe Flash – are installed. In addition, it can see which Windows Updates are still missing from the system and which programs are starting with Windows, and can remove programs. This makes Patch My PC comparable to SUMo from KC Softwares.

The program itself is less than a megabyte in size and does not need to be installed to do its job. The user can indicate which updates should be installed or skipped and then everything is retrieved and installed with one mouse click. The language of the installation can also be specified. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

New:

• Fixed a bug where a small number of apps would delete the wrong desktop shortcut
• Microsoft .NET 4.5 or above is now needed to Run PatchMyPC.exe
• Log is now located in %temp%\PatchMyPC.log

Application closing improvements

• You will now receive a YesNo message box in the foreground to close any conflicting processes before an update
• During a silent install (/s or /auto switch) if an app process is running and the auto close apps is not enabled it will skip over the app and continue with the next app

Schedule improvements

• You should no longer be prompted to download “Microsoft.Win32.TaskScheduler.dll”
• If you saved a schedule, the radio buttons for those options will be auto checked when re-opening PatchMyPC.exe
• New option to enable or disable the scheduled task
• New option to run whether user is logged on or not
• New option to run ASAP if scheduled was missed
• Now shows the command line for the scheduled task
