Download PassMark WirelessMon 2.0 build 1013
Passmark recently updated WirelessMon to version 2.0 build 1010. This utility allows monitoring of the status of the wireless network card and access points within range. For example, it is possible to see whether the network has been configured correctly, whether all components are working properly, whether the access points are secured and what the throughput speeds of the network are. It can also assist in locating the antenna when directional antennas are used, and can help detect interference or other problems. Below are all the changes that have been made to the program since the previous entry in the junk tracker:
Changes in version 2.0 build 1013:
- Added some changes to keep user interface more responsive when the network card is queried for information. Particularly noticeable in Windows Vista.
Changes in version 2.0 build 1012:
- Fixed memory leak in vista
- Updated warning message about missing performance counters
- Updated help file for location of the debug file in Vista
- Fixed a bug where connecting to an access point in Vista with no MAC address could cause a crash
- Fixed bug where using the minimise on startup and minimise to system tray options was always showing the mini window when WirelessMon was first started
Changes in version 2.0 build 1011:
- Fixed a bug where the 128 bit WEP key could be sent incorrectly.
- Added more vista compatibility changes.
