Download Passmark Burnintest 5.3 build 1033

Passmark Software released version 5.3 build 1033 of Burnintest on Wednesday. This program puts the proverbial fire to the shins of the various parts of the computer in order to test the reliability and stability of the system. The software is available in a standard and a professional edition, with the latter also available for download in a separate 32-bit and 64-bit flavour. The professional edition is able to test more hardware, including tape drives and, for example, the parallel, serial and USB ports. In addition, the Pro version also has more extensive memory tests. More information about the differences between them is here to find. Since the previous entry in the Meuktracker, there have been two new releases, with just as many changes:

Release 5.3 build 1033

• Changes to correct a BurnInTest crash problem on some systems. When the disk and standard RAM tests were run for many hours, BurnInTest may have disappeared with no error message on some systems. This was mainly reported on XP SP3.

Release 5.3 build 1030

• Changes to investigate a reported crash in BurnInTest on some XP SP3 systems with some test combinations with a duration longer than about 6 hours.
