Agnitum recently released version 8.0 of its firewall software Outpost Firewall Pro. The program stops intruders and spyware, filters for unwanted content and has an ingrained privacy controller. In version 8.0, among other things, the user interface has been renewed, support for Windows 8 has been added and the protection of 64-bit versions of Windows has been improved. • Updated network activity presets for system processes

The following issues have been fixed:

• The vulnerability after reverting to non-GUI operation mode (Computer Lock)
• The firewall crashing under Windows 8
• Several service and GUI crashes
• ICMP traffic on Windows 8 is now filtered correctly
• Issues with sending excess information to ImproveNet
• GUI freeze when the Event Viewer is in use
• Certain graphical element positioning errors
