Opera has released version 82 of its web browser of the same name. Opera uses the Blink engine. This is part of Chromium, which is also used by Google Chrome, among others. Opera is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS. There are also versions for Android and iOS. In version 82, which is based on Chromium 96, we find improvements for video playback on Linux, among other things.

We’re happy to announce that Opera 82 is already on the stable branch. If you are a Linux user and had some videos problems recently, make sure you update to this version, which includes a fix for that. Small improvements for Player are also included in this version.
