Download Opera 30.0.1835.52

Opera has released version 30 of its web browser of the same name. Opera switched from its in-house render engine Presto to Blink two years ago. This is part of Chromium, which is also used by Google Chrome, among others. Opera is available for Windows, Linux and OS X. There are also versions for BSD and Solaris, but they are still based on the old technology. The main improvements made in this release can be found below.

General and user interface changes

• Add new functionality with the extensions sidebar. View sidebar extensions available
• Access recently-closed, synced, and currently open tabs in the tab menu. Enable tab previews and enjoy a new tab cycler.
• Better manage bookmarks and bookmark folders using a trash folder in the bookmark manager. Restore bookmarks if you accidentally remove them or clear them from your browser for good.

Syncing service improvements

• Opera now syncs your browsing preferences and settings.
