Download OpenELEC 3.0 RC2

A second and possibly final release candidate of version 3.0 of the Open Embedded Linux Entertainment Center has been released. This Linux distribution is based on XBMC Media Center and can turn a computer into a full-fledged HTPC. OpenELEC is easy to install, maintain and use, as well as being small and lightning fast. In addition to the default download there are special versions for AMD’s Fusion and Nvidia’s ION platform, Apple TV, Xtreamer Ultra and Raspberry Pi. This release of OpenELEC is still based on the third release candidate of version 12 of XBMC and is further shipped with the following release notes:

OpenELEC 3.0 RC2 released

The OpenELEC team is proud to release the second Release Candidate of OpenELEC 3.0!

Internally this is known by the less-catchy name OpenELEC 2.99.2 :).

Our second Release Candidate updates XBMC to latest XBMC Frodo, and fixes some issues found in our RC1 release. Also we updated some important parts of the OS to fix issues and update and add more drivers.

This will be one of the latest releases before OpenELEC 3.0 final, so please test and report issues.
