X-Treme reports the release of a Directshow implementation of Ogg Vorbis, written specifically for use of Vorbis in video. The benefits mentioned by the author of using Vorbis are listed below.

• Vorbis gives you excellent sound quality already at 64kBit (Give it try !!)
• All channels in Ogg have timestamps. You will never have to deal anymore with syncronization problems
• My filters support the IAMStreamSelect interface. Ie if you use more than one soundtrack you will not get a mixture of all channels as with AVI but Media Player will offer you choosing the language
