Download Notepad++ 5.9

Notepad++ has been updated to version 5.9. This comprehensive text editor has various features that are especially useful for programmers, such as syntax highlighting for C, C++, Java, html, XML and php, among others. The program also offers the possibility to edit more than one document at the same time or even to maintain one document in two different places. The main improvement in version 5.9 is a newer version of scintilla, the open source editor that Notepad++ uses. The full list of changes since version 5.8.7 is as follows:

Notepad++ v5.9 new features and fixed bug (from v5.8.7):

• Update Scintilla from 2.21 to 2.25.
• New feature: Non-greedy regular expression (Scintilla).
• Add Copy/Cut/Paste Binary Content feature.
• Add “paste HTML content” and “paste RTF content” commands.
• Fix the inverse of title and message for some MessageBox.
• Add “Remove Unmarked Lines” command.
• Add “Column Mode Tip” to notice users the usage of column mode in Notepad++.
• Make stream comments foldable in php/javascript.
