Download Notepad++ 5.8.1

A small update was released on Tuesday for the version 5.8 of Notepad++ released last week. This comprehensive text editor has various features that are especially useful for programmers, such as syntax highlighting for C, C++, Java, html, XML and php, among others. The program also offers the possibility to edit more than one document at the same time or even to maintain one document in two different places. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Notepad++ v5.8.1 new features and fixed bugs:

• Fix Actionscript lexer crash problem.
• Fix saving UCS-2 text file corrupted bug.
• Add word count in Summary feature.
• Fix hiding/showing status bar bug.
