Download NNTPgrab 0.7.0

After three beta releases, the final release of NNTPGrab version 0.7 has appeared. With this program files from usenet can be downloaded. NNTPGrab can of course handle nzb files, is able to automatically process par2 files and can consult several usenet servers at the same time. The software is released under an open source license and is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. New in version 0.7.0 is, among other things, that par files are only retrieved when they are really needed and that the integrated search service can be used again for everyone is. The main improvements since version 0.6.2 are listed below:

The following features are new in this version:

• PAR2 files are now only downloaded if it is really necessary
• Improved look and feel on Windows and Mac OS X thanks to the use of Qt
• The integrated search service is operational again and considerably optimized
• Downloading via SSL is now faster than before
• Thanks to various optimizations, higher maximum speeds can now be achieved than before
• All actions in the download queue are now much faster than before (note: users of an older version of NNTPGrab must first complete their old downloads before installing this new version because the old and new file formats are not compatible with each other)
• Added support for GTK3 (part of GNOME 3)
• Added support to automatically remove collections from the download queue after download
• Added option called ‘Send GROUP command before downloading’ which can be used for certain buggy usenet servers
