Download NewsLeecher 7.0 Beta 3

The third beta release of NewsLeecher version 7.0 has become available. With this program it is possible to download files from newsgroups in a simple way. The program supports nzb files, has a SuperSearch and can automatically check downloaded files for integrity and completeness, and then extract them independently. Version 7.0 adds a new system for downloading or extracting to specific directories, supports automatic detection of par files that have been misnamed, and allows the creation of a filter to extract files in a specific language. to close. Improved

• In the previous beta, the “Repair and Extract” PAR2 file *repair* engine got a major performance boost. In this beta, we have looked into optimizing the “Repair and Extract” PAR2 file *verification* engine as well. It is now 300-400% faster than before.
• Many smaller speed improvements.

Fixed

• Fixed bug ’14w10j09h’ that got triggered when Repair and Extract was handling PAR2 files, with some specific keywords included in the filenames – more info.
• The code for backing up NewsLeecher settings on-the-fly, didn’t work properly in the last few betas. This has been fixed. To setup the backup feature, check : Setting -> Advanced Tweaks -> Backup … The backups process can also be manually triggered from: Toolbox -> Advanced -> Perform Backup
