Download NewsLeecher 5.0 Beta 4

The fourth beta release of NewsLeecher version 5.0 has been released. With this program it is possible to download files from newsgroups in a simple way. The program supports nzb files, has a so-called SuperSearch, and can automatically check downloaded files for integrity and completeness, and then extract them independently. New in version 5.0 is, among other things, that tabs have been added to the SuperSearch. Furthermore, there is now a SuperSearch Watchdog and they are working hard to improve the user interface. The changelog for beta 4 shows the following changes and improvements:

New features:

• Reimplemented and improved the ‘Auto Article Highlight’ feature. The feature can be setup from: Settings -> Interface -> Highlighting
• NewsLeecher will now highlight searched words when performing local article searches and SuperSearch searches. If wanted, highlighting can be turned off if from: Settings -> Interface -> Highlighting
• It’s now possible to hide the checkboxes from the ‘Group Navigation Panel’. They can be hidden through the GNP popup menu.
• Added keyboard shortcut ( F3 ) to activate the search / filtering control on the visible toolbar.
• Added keyboard shortcut ( F3 Double Tapped ) to activate the ‘Advanced Filtering Dialog’.
• The new ‘Group Navigation Dropdown’ can now be right-clicked for accessing more group functionality.

Improved features:

• Closing down NewsLeecher is now *much* faster than in previous versions.
• The built-in explorer is now a lot faster at browsing folders containing many subfolders.
• Redesigned the ‘Advanced Filtering Dialog’ a bit to make it more light-weight.
• Lots of smaller improvements. (Refined skin colors, move up / down feature available from queue popup menu, etc..)

Fixed bugs:

• Fixed bug where the SuperSearch result search filter wasn’t always set correctly:
• Lots of small fixes.
