Download NewsLeecher 5.0 Beta 16

A new beta release of NewsLeecher version 5.0 has been released. With this program it is possible to download files from newsgroups in a simple way. The program supports nzb files, has a SuperSearch, and can automatically check downloaded files for integrity and completeness, and then extract them independently. New in version 5.0 is, among other things, that tabs have been added to the SuperSearch. In addition, there is now a SuperSearch Watchdog and work is underway to improve the user interface. The changelog for this release shows the following changes and improvements:

New features

• This release should be 100% compatible with Windows 8. If you still experience Windows 8 related problems with this beta version, please report it to the NewsLeecher support team.
• For performance reasons, an option to turn off screen logging when the crossposter filter is triggered during a group update, has been added. The option can be accessed from: Setup -> Group Browsing -> Filters : Crosspost

Improved feature

• Improved file handling to better prevent NewsLeecher settings files corruptions.

Fixed bug

• Fixed bug “kdjakldja”. Bug was triggered by turning off the SuperSearch result highlight setting.
