Download NewsLeecher 4.0 Beta 20
Monday, version 4.0 beta 20 of NewsLeecher was released. With this program it is possible to download files from newsgroups in a simple way. The program supports nzb files, has a so-called SuperSearch, and can automatically check downloaded files for integrity and completeness and then extract them independently. In the previous release, the SuperSearch has been completely revised. This now has a retention of no less than 850 days. New in this release is, among other things, that the program is provided with a digital signature, which should reduce so-called false positives and the number of security warnings. The full changelog looks like this:
New features:
- The NewsLeecher executable and the NewsLeecher setup archive is now digitally signed to avoid false positives by anti virus software, and to prevent security warnings during install and launch.
- It’s now possible to manually select which setup / data files NewsLeecher should load at startup, by pressing the F12 key while launching NewsLeecher.
Improved features:
- Lots of smaller improvements.
Fixed bugs:
- Fixed bug where NewsLeecher would sometimes return an error when downloading very big articles.
- Fixed small issue, where the groups listview article position wasn’t always reset when entering a new usenet group.
- Many smaller bug fixes.
