Download NewsLeecher 2.0 RC5

Yesterday, NewsLeecher’s developers released a new release candidate from the 2.0 branch on the program’s homepage. Release Candidate 5 is based on beta version 12 and is available from here downloaded as an installation package. NewsLeecher is a program for reading newsgroup messages and downloading binaries via Usenet. The developers took a good look at programs like NewsBinPro, NewsPro, BNR, and GrabIt, then took the best points as the basis for NewsLeecher. The result is a program that, among other things, can download from multiple servers at the same time, has support for yEnc encoding and can handle up to 99 threads simultaneously. NewsLeecher 2.0 RC5 has the following changes from the previous release:

• Fixed a problem where some users were unable to enter their licensekey data into the program.
• Removed a faulty ‘Key Uninstall’ feature. NewsLeecher will now automatically ask for a new key if it detects that an outdated key is in use
