DJI Interprises has released the fifth and likely final release candidate of NewsBin Pro version 6.31. NewsBin Pro is intended to retrieve files, such as photos, movies and programs, from usenet. These files can be downloaded in individual packets from one or more news servers and reassembled at the receiving end. Since version 6.00, the interface uses tabs and there is a cache-to-memory option that, if a machine has enough memory, reduces constant access to the hard drive. In RC5 the following changes and improvements have been made:

Version 6.31 Release Candidate 5 Build 1858

• Calling this RC5 but there is no RC designation in the title bar. It will become the final release unless something critical is uncovered.
• Added option to toggle Aggressive Assembly Mode in the AutoPAR Options menu.
• Fixed bug where purging a group was not resetting the new record count.
• Improved the PAR parser. It scans bad par files about 10 times faster than before.
• Modified compaction algorithm to handle when posters put file count info before record count info.
