Download Nagios 2.4

With the program Nagios you can monitor different parts of your network and services on your servers. Among other things, it can check for SMTP, POP3, HTTP and NNTP services, and host resources such as processor load and disk usage. When something happens that you want to be kept informed about, you can set different notifications that can then be delivered by mail or pager. The program can easily be expanded to your own liking by using the plugin structure. For more information, we refer you to this page and a zipper with screenshots is up this page to watch. Nagios 2.4 has been released to fix some relatively minor bugs present in 2.3.1 and earlier. Happy monitoring!

• Fix for missing include that prevented CGI compilation under Solaris
• Better error message reporting in the command CGI (cmd.cgi)
• Fix for order of recovery/flapping notifications immediately after end of host/service flapping
• Bug fix for potential crash (SIGBUS) of CGIs when reading mmap()’ed status, comment, and downtime files
• Added ‘install-unstripped’ option to Makefile to allow installing unstripped binaries for debugging
• Minor bug fix to sample redundancy handle-master-proc-event script
