Everyone has at least heard of the games in the Grand Theft Auto series. The game Multi Theft Auto is an open source add-on for Rockstars Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which makes it possible to play against each other online. The server for bringing the different players together runs on both Windows and Linux. For an overview of screenshots and various videos, we refer you to the media gallery from MTA. The developers released Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas 1.0 this week and provided it with the following abbreviated announcement:
