Download Mp3tag 2.55

Florian Heidenreich has released version 2.55 of Mp3tag. With this program, the meta tags of the most common music formats can be modified. Support is available for ID3v1, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4, iTunes Mp5, wma, Vorbis comments and Ape tags. Furthermore, the file names can be modified on the basis of those tags and playlists can be generated. The changelog of this release shows the following changes and improvements:

• Added support for *.opus files for Explorer context menu shell extension.

Changed:

• Added special handling for iTunMOVI field name for MP4.
• Updated MusicBrainz web source to version 1.06.
• Improved compatibility with Windows 8.

Fixed:

• Unicode characters encoded in \x{####} format gave runtime exception in web sources (eg, Amazon.de).
• Preview at converter ‘Tag – Tag’ displayed 0 for %_counter% instead of 1.
• After deleting files the list jumps to the beginning.
• After moving files the list jumps to the beginning.
• Temporary file was not removed when writing tags to Opus files (since v2.54a)
