Download Mp3tag 2.53

Florian Heidenreich has released version 2.53 of Mp3tag. With this program, the meta tags of the most common music formats can be modified. Support is available for ID3v1, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4, iTunes Mp5, wma, Vorbis comments and Ape tags. Furthermore, the file names can be modified on the basis of those tags and playlists can be generated. The changelog for version 2.53 can be found below.

New:

• Added support for drag and drop of cover art from Google Chrome.

Changes:

• Updated code signing certificate.
• drag and drop of cover art from other applications now uses original image without re-encoding whenever possible.
• Explorer context menu extension is now included in default installation.
• ID3v2.3 TYER/TDAT now merged into one YEAR field formatted as YYYY-MM-DD.

Fixed:

• Files and folders added from command line were displayed with upper/lower case from command line.
• File names added from playlists were displayed with upper/lower case from playlist.
