Florian Heidenreich released a new stable version of Mp3tag this weekend. With this program, the meta tags of the most common music formats can be modified. Support is available for ID3v1, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4, iTunes Mp5, wma, Vorbis comments and Ape tags. Furthermore, the file names can be modified on the basis of those tags and playlists can be generated. Since version 2.47a, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes:

• Improved Amazon query handling.
• Updated Amazon Web Sources.

Fixed:

• Wildcard matcher for filter expressions occasionally produced runtime errors.
• Click on helper menu for removing individual tag fields resulted in runtime error at action ‘Merge duplicate fields’.
• History at converter ‘Text file – Tag’ had problems with special characters.

Version 2.47b

New:

• Helper menu for removing individual tag fields, removing all tag fields, and resetting the tag fields list at tag field selection lists.
• Menu item for removing all items from history at format string selection lists.

Fixed:

• Applying changes to M4V files gave file cannot be written error message.
