Download Mozilla Thunderbird 52.2.1

The Mozilla Foundation has released version 52.2.1 of Thunderbird. Mozilla Thunderbird is an open source email and newsgroup client, with features such as support for several mail and news accounts, a spam filter, spell checker, and a customizable look and feel. New functionality is rarely added to Thunderbird. New in version 52 is, among other things, that images are now added as data URIs in messages. In addition, there is now a drop-down menu that allows you to quickly adjust the way folders are displayed. In addition, in Lightning it is now possible to edit events in tabs. This update also fixes an issue with Gmail.

Fixed:

• Problems with Gmail (folders not showing, repeated email download, etc.) introduced in version 52.2.0

Known Issues

• Multiple requests for master password when GMail OAuth2 is enabled
• On Windows, “Send to > Mail recipient” does not work. Workaround: Install the Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 redistributable runtime library or the Universal C Runtime for Windows Server.
