Download Mozilla Thunderbird 52.1.0

The Mozilla Foundation has released version 52.1 of Thunderbird. Mozilla Thunderbird is an open source email and newsgroup client, with features such as support for several mail and news accounts, a spam filter, spell checker, and a customizable look and feel. In Thunderbird, new functionality is rarely added. New in version 52 is, among other things, that images are now added as data URIs in messages. In addition, there is now a drop-down menu that allows you to quickly customize the way folders are displayed. In addition, in Lightning it is now possible to edit events in tabs. A few minor issues have also been fixed in this update.

Known Issues

• Large number of blank pages being printed under certain circumstances
• Large attachments may not be shown or saved correctly if the message is stored in an IMAP folder which is not synchronized for offline use. Workaround: Set preference browser.cache.memory.max_entry_size to the value of -1 (unlimited) and create integer preference browser.cache.memory.capacity with the value of 200000 (200 MB, 25 MB per message).
• Crash due to incompatibility with McAfee Anti-SPAM add-on. Workaround: Start in safe mode and disable McAfee Anti-Spam Extension
• Crash when compacting IMAP folder
