Download Mozilla Firefox 5.0 Beta 2
Mozilla is developing version 5.0 of its web browser Firefox and the second beta release has now appeared. Version 5.0 does not make the same big leap forward that version 4.0 has made over 3.6. That is also not possible, because the development time is much shorter. For example, we see support for CSS animations, performance improvements and of course the necessary bug fixes and security updates. Below is an overview of the most important improvements that we can expect in version 5.0.
What’s New in Firefox Beta
- Added support for CSS animations
- Added support for switching Firefox development channels
- the Do-Not-Track header preference has been moved to increase discoverability
- Improved canvas, JavaScript, memory, and networking performance
- Improved standards support for HTML5, XHR, MathML, SMIL, and canvas
- Improved spell checking for some locales
- Improved desktop environment integration for Linux users
