A minor update has been released for version 1.5.0 of Media Player Classic – Home Cinema. MPC – HC is a small no-nonsense media player, with the look and feel of Windows Media Player 6.4. It is a further development of Media Player Classic, which itself was discontinued. This media player, in combination with the ffdshow filter, can display just about anything it can throw at it. However, it also has a number of extras, which are especially interesting for use on an HTPC. For example, there are options for anti tearing, DirectX video acceleration, synchronization for subtitles and support for the Shuttle PN31 remote. More information is on this page to find. The update is only interesting for people with a Sandy Bridge processor.
