A new development version of the web browser Maxthon was released on Tuesday. Maxthon is not a standalone browser, but a so-called wrapper that surrounds Internet Explorer like a shell. The program uses IE’s internal engine to display the web pages, but has its own interface with all kinds of extra functionality, including mouse gestures and online bookmarks. This release includes several security improvements. For example, a private browsing mode and a protected sandbox environment have been added. The full changelog of this release looks like this:
