Maxthon has just released the fourth beta release of its web browser of the same name with version number 2.0.1 build 6526. Maxthon is a so-called ‘wrapper’, a shell around Internet Explorer. It uses IE’s engine to build the pages, but has its own interface with lots of extra functionality. Among the changes in version 2.0 we find, among other things, a refreshed appearance, different proxy settings can be used per website, there are password-protected profiles for different users, and the modular structure makes efficient use of system resources.
