Maxthon has updated its web browser of the same name to version 1.33. Maxthon is a so-called ‘wrapper’, a shell around Internet Explorer. It uses IE’s engine to build the pages and also adds all kinds of extra functionality, such as browsing using tabs, mouse gestures (using the mouse to control the program in a convenient way), and has it is a popup and ad blocker. The appearance of the program can also be adjusted by means of skins. Maxthon can be downloaded as a Combo or Standard version, the difference being in the number of plugins and skins that are supplied as standard. The changelog of this release looks like this:
