Maxthon has updated its web browser of the same name to version 1.25. Maxthon is not a standalone browser, but a so-called ‘wrapper’, a shell around Internet Explorer. It uses IE to build the pages, but adds all kinds of functionality, such as browsing using tabs, can be used in a convenient way to control the program (mouse gestures) and has a popup and ad blocker. The appearance of the program can also be adjusted using skins. Maxthon can be downloaded as a Combo or as a Standard version, where the difference lies in the number of plugins and skins that are supplied as standard.
