Download LSM-based Security-Enhanced Linux
johanvdw informs us about a new version of a special Linux kernel, which catches the eye of its creators: the NSA. They describe version 2.4 of this piece of software as follows:
The 2.4 LSM-based Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux) prototype is implemented as a kernel module that uses the security hooks provided by the Linux Security Modules (LSM) kernel patch. The 2.4 SELinux kernel is based on the 2.4.19-lsm1 patch from the LSM web site, but includes further changes made to the LSM patch and to the SELinux module. In addition to the kernel module, SELinux consists of a policy compiler (checkpolicy), an example security policy configuration, a utility (setfiles) and configuration (file_contexts) for labeling the file system, some modified daemons, and some new and modified utilities.[break]Anyone who thinks this sounds interesting can here go for an all-in-one package. If you prefer to download in several times, or who prefer only the new code, you can go to the website justly.
