Spread the love

Just under three weeks after the release of the final release of version 3.3 of the open source office suite LibreOffice, The Document Foundation has released the first release candidate of its successor. LibreOffice and The Document Foundation came about after a large number of developers left Oracle dissatisfied with how Oracle ran OpenOffice.org. LibreOffice comes with a word processor (Writer), a spreadsheet program (Calc), a presentation program (Impress), a drawing program (Draw), a database program (Base), and a scientific notation program (Formula). Compared to version 3.3 we find own icons for the various file formats, updated translations and a whole host of bug fixes.

  • Fixed incorrect import of cell attributes from Excel
document. When a cell with non-default formatting attribute starts
with non-first row in a column, the filter would incorrectly apply
the same format to all the cells above it if they didn’t have any
    format.
