You can use Lansweeper to map the devices in your network. This program runs on a Windows machine and is able to inventory the software and hardware present on the network without having to install a client program on each computer. All information can then be consulted via a web interface. Lansweeper is available as freeware for small environments, but for larger environments it will paid must become.
