Download Knoppix 5.0.1
Knoppix is a Debian-based operating system and can be burned to a bootable writable CD. Almost all hardware is automatically detected at startup. Since no data can be written to CD, it has been made possible to put data on a memory or USB stick. A new version of Knoppix was released today in the form of 5.0.1. This version has not yet appeared on the ftp serversbut from here in the form of torrent files so you can fill up on Knoppix 5.0.1 via your favorite BitTorrent client. The new-fangled Knoppix comes with Linux kernel 2.6.17, X.org 7.0, KDE 3.5.2, Gnome 2.12, and OpenOffice.2.0.2, among others. In addition, support for onboard RAID controllers has been added and the Knoppix installer has been improved:
