KeePass Password Safe is a well-known open source password manager that was originally developed for the Windows platform, but can later work on other platforms with the help of Mono. KeePassXC is being developed in C++ with Qt for the graphics part which makes it look suitable on Linux, macOS and Windows. This allows accounts to be stored, including associated data, such as username, password, and url. All data is stored securely in an aes, twofish or ChaCha20 encrypted database. KeePassXC 2.5.3 released
This update adds support for the new Chromium-based Edge browser to KeePassXC-Browser and comes with a critical fix for a bug that may inadvertently scramble a database’s master key after removing a YubiKey from a KDBX 3.1 database. Additional changes include fixes for a number of application crashes, enhanced URL matching in KeePassXC-Browser, and other stability improvements.
