Kaspersky Lab has updated its Internet Security and Anti-Virus programs to version number 6.0.0.300. Kaspersky Internet Security is a suite that includes an anti-virus program and firewall, as well as protection against spam and phishing. Kaspersky Anti-Virus only protects against viruses, but with its price of forty dollars, it is also twenty dollars cheaper. Not only do the version numbers match, the changelog is also the same for both releases:

Changes to version 6.0.0.299 added since version 6.0.0.300:

• EULA files have been fixed.
• An error that could cause a BSOD while scanning the UP702W32.EXE file on a network drive has been fixed.
• Caching of information about previous scans for objects on network drives has been removed.
• Automatic detection of the following third-party applications during product setup has been temporarily disabled:
  • Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2004 Professional
  • Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2005
  • Norton Internet Security 2005
• Installation on computers running 64-bit operating systems has been allowed.
