Kaspersky has not only updated their Anti-Virus beta program, but also updated the Internet Security software with a new version. Internet Security has been given the same version number as Anti-Virus 2006, which is 6.0.12.168. The update can be downloaded as an installation file by clicking on this link and takes up just under ten megabytes to download. Kaspersky Internet Security tries to keep the computer away from unwanted intruders, malicious programs and spam. The program can actively scan the system, but it is also possible to manually start the scanning procedure. Below you can read about the changes and known issues of the 6.0.12.168 release

KNOWN BUGS

Context sensitive help has not yet been completely implemented.

Some subsystems may work incorrectly under Windows 9x.

In certain conditions Anti-Spy tasks may work with limitations.

White list in Proactive defense module is not completed yet so it is possible that alerts will appear during work of non-malicious applications.

Certain bugs regarding the Windows Server 2003 have been reported.

Self-protection module has been implemented with certain limitations.

Licensing policy has been partially implemented.

Incorrect work on Windows NT4 when logon under the user, entering only in USERS group.

It is impossible to add new license key under Windows 9x.

Incorrect registration of external plugins after first run of the product under Windows9x is reported, the problem can be fixed by OS reboot.

Technology of incremental updates (differences) can fail in certain conditions.

Not all available objects can be scanned when scan task runs under certain accounts.

AntiSpam plugin in the MS Outlook may not start checking letters, if in properties of mail account a “save password” flag is set to off. the problem can be fixed by turn this flag on and restart Outlook.

Flag “enable Outlook/Outlook Express/The Bat! plugins” does not affect the mechanism of moving a letters in the Outlook Express. Select “keep as is” option in the OE plugin’s settings window if this behavior is undesirable.

Update through proxy server which requires plain authorization works properly only during manual update.

Anti-Hacker alerts may appear for non-existent applications “HardDiskVolume1”, “C:”.

Unstable work with Norton System Works: Norton Utilities 2005 at the same time.

Links at main window and Support page does not work under Windows9x.

Outlook Express mail client may crash during unload.

Updates from the network shared folder does not work under Windows NT4.
