Macecraft Software has just released the fourth beta release of jv16 PowerTools 2007. This program is intended for cleaning the registry and fine-tuning the PC as a whole. For example, there are modules to determine which programs are started when Windows starts up and duplicate files can be searched for. During the development of version 2007, the emphasis was placed on increased user-friendliness and fixing bugs. The only real new feature is the addition of a disk defragmenter. There is also now a one-click cleaner, which combines a number of existing modules to clean the PC quickly and easily. In this release, improvements have mainly been made to the History/MRU Cleaner and Disk Defragmenter modules. The full release notes are as follows:

Main changes since Beta3

• Dozens of bugs fixed
• Major improvements to the History/MRU Cleaner (and also forgot one debug button to the GUI, you can ignore that)
• Major improvements to the Disk Defragmenter
• Improved compatibility with Vista

RC1 (Release Candidate 1) version is expected to be released after 3-5 beta versions, the final version should be ready after 1-3 RC’s.
