The Finnish Jetico has released a new version of its free Personal Firewall. The software uses a so-called three-layer protection. First of all, the low-level network packets are filtered on, for example, source, final destination, addressing and protocols used. In addition, there is filtering at application level, where network traffic per program is monitored. Finally, there is filtering at user level. For example, think of tojans and other malicious programs. The changelog of this release shows the following improvements:
