A little over a week ago, version 1.12 of Javara was released. This program is intended to clean up old versions of Java and the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Sun, the publisher of Java, regularly releases new versions of Java that add new features and fix bugs and security vulnerabilities. However, during the update, the old versions are not removed and over time these files can take up quite a lot of space. Javara not only removes these old files, it also cleans the registry. In addition, it can also check whether the latest version of JRE is on the computer. New in this release is, among other things, the option to have files that are in use automatically deleted on the next restart of the computer. The full changelog of this release looks like this:
