Download JavaGroups 2.2.1

JavaGroups is a communication package based on multicasting, suitable for IP but other protocols are also supported. The package is developed in Java and released under the LGPL license. Version 2.2.1 has recently been made available with the following release notes:

JavaGroups provides reliable group communication based on IP multicast and configurable protocol stack. This release includes a number of bug fixes and enhancements.

Main updates:

• COMPRESS protocol
• GossipRouter (succeeds GossipServer and Router, merged into one)
• Couple of bug fixes
• ConnectionTable1_4/TCP1_4: use of NIO for TCP. Works under JDK 1.4 and higher
• Message now has an offset and length field, allows to avoid copying some times (FRAG2)
• FRAG2: improved copy-less FRAG protocol
• Bundling in UDP (bundles multiple msgs into one)
