Download jAlbum 10.3.1

Only shortly after the release of version 10.3 of jAlbum a successor has been released. This program makes it easy to generate and edit professional looking HTML photo albums. In a clean interface, photos can be easily edited, the order can be changed and the appearance of the web page can be determined. There are already several skins present by default, but this is simple expand. If everything is to your liking, the result can be placed on a web page via the built-in ftp client. Because the software is developed in Java, jAlbum is available for a wide range of operating systems.

Since version 10, the program is no longer free for commercial use. A license for version 10 and all 10-series updates costs 39 euros, removes all advertising and gives access to higher priority support. Also new are full support for xmp metadata, the possibility to integrate created albums into websites and the possibility to exchange images and even complete folders between different projects. The Windows download is bundled with Java and therefore somewhat larger, as some versions of Java do not work well with jAlbum. In version 10.3.1 some bug fixes have been made and a translation has been updated.

• Windows version would hang when dragging and dropping images from the file chooser onto jAlbum. This bug has been around for over a year and is now finally fixed.
• Mac version would fail with “Could not initialize class com.adobe.xmp.impl.XMPMetaParser” error on OS X Lion
• Error reporting for skins that require “compatibility mode” to run wasn’t tight
