Version 1.0 of Inkscape has been released. This open source and cross platform program is for editing vector graphics† It shares similarities with programs like Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Freehand and Xara X, but the big difference is that Inkscape works with Scalable Vector Graphics, an open standard developed by the W3C. • Native support for macOS with a signed and notarized .dmg file
• Coordinate origin in top left corner by default
• Canvas rotation and mirroring
• On-Canvas alignment of objects

• PowerPencil for drawing editable, variable width strokes with a pressure sensitive graphics tablet
• New PNG export options
• Integrated centerline tracing for vectorization of line drawings
